Victor Wembanyama is only 20 years old, coming off his first season in the NBA, and yet everyone in this microcosm already considers him a superstar. For some observers, this would be just the beginning of a long rise to power.
In the direct line of a LeBron James 20 years ago, Victor Wembanyama established himself as a true global superstar in his first season in the NBA. If the Spurs did not necessarily live up to his talent with a disappointing record once again, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 Draft displayed an extraordinary talent on the courts.
And something increasingly rare in a society where everyone likes to nitpick: he is unanimous among fans. Indeed, supporters of many teams believe that the NBA title must be won within a window of 2 or 3 years maximum, before the Frenchman and his teammates become a dynasty as dominant as the Warriors.
