Violent Attack Leaves Party-Goers Robbed and Injured in Biel

The party ended very badly for two friends on Sunday morning in Biel. As they were walking home, they were approached by three strangers in a car. The latter begged for cigarettes but the two party-goers refused. The driver therefore continued on his way and parked further away before his two passengers got out of the vehicle, hooded and armed. The first attacked one of the two victims with a baseball bat. The second then took out a machete and threatened the two individuals, without striking them. During the attack, the attackers stole a watch, a backpack, two wallets and shoes, before fleeing in the car.

The victim who was attacked with a baseball bat was taken to hospital by ambulance. His friend was taken to the police station to give his testimony. According to the two victims, the two perpetrators wore black masks, were about 1.70m tall and had a slim build. One had dark skin, the other light skin. The vehicle in which they escaped was a dark SUV with a Bernese license plate.
