Williams unveils new livery for Silverstone

The FW46 with which Williams contests the 2024 Formula 1 season will be dressed up for what is possibly the most special race for the team, its home race, the British Grand Prix, at Silverstone.

Home race for Williams F1

Williams will keep the blue colour of its car but will sport the ‘union jack’ on the side of its vehicle, which will also feature the names of the 1,005 members that make up the entire team based in the nearby town of Grove.

The team would like to express its gratitude to all the workers at the Grove factory and those at the London and New York headquarters, the three locations where the Williams team has a presence.

Logan Sargeant and Alex Albon will be showing off the new design throughout the Grand Prix, as will Argentinian Franco Colapinto who will be behind the wheel of the FW46 during the first free practice session.

Special T-shirts and caps will also be available to the public at the circuit this weekend, celebrating the legacy of the Williams team, as well as a limited edition Coachbuilt Whisky, the brand owned by Jenson Button, which will reference the FW18 with which Damon Hill won both the drivers’ and constructors’ titles in 1996.

‘Family Day’

The team has also prepared special activities in the circuit’s ‘fan zone’, including simulator challenges. On Thursday, a ‘family day’ will be held with the aim of bringing the category closer to families, where they will be invited to experience first-hand the common elements of a Formula 1 garage.
