Wyatt Langford Makes Texas Rangers History with Rookie Carousel

Wyatt Langford had high expectations with the Texas Rangers for this season in the Majors. The young player made sure to make history.

He became the first rookie in the Texas organization since 1985 to complete a carousel. He did it all in an 11-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

With his eighth-inning homer, Langford drew praise for the feat that was achieved in 1985 by Oddibe McDowell.

The outfielder hit his first hit of the game in the fourth with a triple. He came back to attack in the next inning with a double. He placed the ball safely to first cushion in the sixth and celebrated his carousel in the eighth. He has four RBIs on his record during the evening.

Langford thus overshadowed his teammate Derek Hill who for his part hit two home runs in the match.
