Players of Indonesian descent Gabriel Han Willhoft-King recruited Manchester City and will enter the U-19 team.

In a tweet by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old player will sign a contract until 2026. Gabriel will soon wear the Citizens uniform if all processes are complete.

“Manchester City have agreed to sign talented 2006-born midfielder Han Willhoft-King for their U-19 team,” writes Fabrizio Romano in X.

“Han Willhoft-King left Tottenham a few weeks ago and will join Manchester City on a two-year contract. A medical will be carried out soon,” Fabrizio added.

Previously, Gabriel Han Willhoft-King was in the spotlight last year because he was projected to defend the Indonesian National Team at the 2023 U-17 World Cup. He was projected to be one of the diaspora players besides Welber Jardim to strengthen the Red and White.

Unfortunately, Gabriel does not have an Indonesian passport like Welber Jardim. That made him cancel to wear the Garuda team uniform.

Gabriel Han Willhoft-King has a father’s lineage from Jakarta. He began studying at the Tottenham Hotspur academy in 2022 and has appeared 21 times in the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 U-21 Premier League.

At international level, Gabriel has played for England U-16s, appearing against Türkiye and Scotland.
