The 28-year-old, who had been given a wildcard and had eliminated the German Tamara Korpatsch 6:2 and 6:1 in the first round, was given what tennis circles call a spectacle in the second round. The world number 148 was defeated 0:6 and 0:6 by the Russian Daria Kasatkina (WTA 12). After 50 minutes, the match was over on 16th place.
