The father of an Olympic champion in Paris was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting an Olympic volunteer, with an unconsensual kiss on the mouth, after his daughter’s victory, the Paris prosecutor’s office announced.
The arrest followed a complaint filed Wednesday by a volunteer who said the father of a judo champion kissed her without her consent just after her daughter won, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
“The accused was arrested on August 1, and investigations are ongoing,” the statement added, without specifying the identity of the persons involved.
