Freddy Fermin contributed to Kansas City’s victory

Freddy Fermín stood out on Thursday with the bat by connecting two hits and contributing to the Kansas City Royals’ 7-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

The Creole made his presence felt in the top of the seventh inning with a one-run single off of Venezuelan Keider Montero. With that hit, Fermín increased the Royals’ lead to 4-1 at that point.

The Puerto Ordaz native finished the game 2-for-4 with one run brought home. The catcher has taken advantage of the opportunities and in his last seven games he has a remarkable batting average of .400.
