Ilaix Moriba will play on loan at Celta next season

MADRID, 7 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Guinean international midfielder Ilaix Moriba will play for RC Celta next season on loan from RB Leipzig, after spending last season at Getafe and two seasons at Valencia.

The Spanish-Guinean player, trained in the FC Barcelona youth academy, will reinforce the sky-blue midfield with his “quality, range and strength,” said the Galician club, which announced on Wednesday that the 21-year-old African footballer is arriving on loan with an option to buy.

Moriba will return to LaLiga after making his debut for Barça at the age of 18 and his past at Valencia and Getafe, where he failed to establish himself despite the promising future that was predicted for him after his great emergence as a Barça player and which caught the attention of RB Leipzig.

In total he has played 66 matches in the First Division, scoring one goal and providing seven assists. He is also an international with the Guinean national team, with which he has played 23 matches and was part of the team that participated in the Olympic Games, qualifying for Paris thanks to a goal from the new Celeste midfielder.
