Archery is a sport in Táchira that could bring it a good number of medals in the 2024 edition of the National Youth Sports Games, to be held in November at a venue to be determined soon.
Ricardo Vásquez, archery coach, in the development part, believes that the atigrado team of archers has many possibilities of winning medals, motivated, among other factors, by the role played in national competitions, where they have had an excellent performance, also reinforced by the inclusion of the athletes Alexandra Duque and Daniel Castro in the youth team of Venezuela, which gives greater strength to the Andean delegation.
Without being overly optimistic, the coach indicated that in addition to those recently incorporated into the team, the boys who will compete in recurve and compound bow could be in the finals in search of medals, to be on the podium, to continue being protagonists and to be at the top of the discipline.
Regarding preparation, Vásquez indicated that they are waiting for the completion of a national tournament that will serve to fine-tune details for the national Olympics and once this tournament is completed, in the time that remains, they will focus on arriving safely in November.
