Given these interests, Galatasaray has reportedly set the price for the Colombian and would not accept a lower figure to negotiate a transfer. Sporx was able to establish that the Turkish club is asking for a minimum of 30 million euros for Davinson.
“The yellow-red management set the transfer price of the successful defender, who played a major role in the championship, at 30 million euros. If this figure is accepted, Sanchez will be allowed to leave. A very good defender will be bought with the income that will be provided and there will also be a budget for other transfers,” the newspaper said.
The priority is to retain Davinson
Galatasaray paid Tottenham just under 10 million euros for Davinson a year ago and have now set a price to triple that figure due to the centre-back’s good form. At the same time, that value could make interested parties doubt, since the Turkish club’s objective would be to keep the Colombian in their squad.
“We definitely shouldn’t sell him. We need him badly in the Champions League,” Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk said last week.
Sánchez has already returned to training with his club and was on the bench in the 0-5 defeat to Besiktas in the Turkish Super Cup. Now he is focused on the start of the Super League this Friday, August 9, against Hatayspor at home.
