Falcons forward Chiamaka Okwuchukwu is one of the nominees for the 2024 International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Women’s World’s Best Young Player Award.
Okuchukwu will compete with 29 other players for the individual championship.
The youngster was recognized for her outstanding performance for the Falconets at the 2024 <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/08/linda-caicedo-praised-by-fifa-and-warns-germany-colombia-selection/" title="Linda Caicedo praised by FIFA and warns Germany | Colombia selection”>FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The Rivers Angels forward has two goals and one assist in four games for the Flamingos.
Chris Danjuma’s side were eliminated in the last 16 by Japan.
Senegal’s Hapsatu Diallo and Cameroon’s Monique Ngok are the other two African players on the shortlist.
Spain and Barcelona forward Salma Palaruelo won the award last year.
