The Australian MotoGP is one of the determinants of the MotoGP championship title this season. This is because the difference in points for top racers is currently quite tight.
Jorge Martin, who is at the top of the standings, is 10 points ahead of Bagnaia. Meanwhile, Bagnaia is 69 points ahead of Enea Bastianini who is in third place. Meanwhile, Bagnaia is two points ahead of Marc Marquez.

Apart from being able to decide, the 2024 Australian MotoGP is also a gamble for Bagnaia and Martin. Both racers have never won the Australian MotoGP.
“With the points situation [saat ini]it’s impossible not to think about the title first. “However, we know that it is not mandatory to be at the top at this time,” said Bagnaia, quoted from Speedweek.
“If we do that in Australia, it will not be detrimental, but the most important thing is to improve the situation and catch a few more points from Jorge. We have prepared ourselves for the title which will only be decided in Valencia, this year’s championship is very complicated,” said Bagnaia, adding .
In the Australian MotoGP, Pecco Bagnaia’s best achievement was finishing runner up last season. Even so, Bagnaia believes he still has a chance to win this season.
“I believe we also have the opportunity and possibility to win here, that is always the goal, but if the potential means second place, so be it,” said Bagnaia.
