Bad news for our northern neighbors. The Netherlands announced on Wednesday that it cannot count on three big names during the European Cyclo-cross Championships.

Heavy fall
This weekend (2-3 November) the European Cyclo-cross Championships will be organized in Pontevedra, Spain. “Unfortunately, three riders have to miss this weekend. After a turbulent time, Ryan Kamp recently had a hard fall, from which he will continue to recover in the near future,” says national coach Gerben de Knegt on the KNWU website.
Kamp, who collided with Eli Iserbyt in Beringen, also had a serious crash in Ruddervoorde. I have felt better, but in principle things are still going well considering the circumstances,” he previously noted Cycling flash. “I felt stiff for a number of days, without being able to pinpoint any clear pain points.”
Double downer
Among the women, the Dutch team will not be able to count on two big names. “Manon Bakker and Denise Betsema currently lack the form to be really competitive and are therefore letting this championship pass them by,” De Knegt honestly admits.
