At 36 years old, the Córdoba striker Claudio Riaño He decided to make public and official a decision that he had made some time ago: to permanently abandon professional football.
The attacker who knew how to wear the Racing de Nueva Italia, Talleres and Boca Juniorsamong other clubs, decided to put an end to his career to dedicate more time to his family and loved ones, in addition to embarking on other business paths.
In a meaningful post on his social networks, he left a message of gratitude.
“Wow, how quickly everything happened… I can only thank you… Thank you very much for giving me so much… So many friends, so many experiences, so much growth, so many unforgettable moments… Thank you very much to all of Luis Grillo and Asociados for always walking this path together, and making me feel part of his family,” Riaño wrote.
And he added: “Many thanks to all the clubs that gave me the opportunity to wear their shirts and fulfill my dreams… Many thanks to all the Doctors, Kinesiologists, props, security, cooks, for their silent but super important work… And above all Many thanks to my family, without their unconditional support, none of this would have been possible… Without a doubt it was much more than I dreamed of… Thank you very much football.”
Riaño started his career in Lasallano after being discovered by former footballer Sebastián Viberti. He broke it in the Cordoban League and Racing de Nueva Italia takes him there, where he debuted in 2009.
In 2010 Talleres bought him, where he scored 27 goals in 70 games, leaving a very good image.
