COMMUNICATION AREA FEB

30 years after its creation and after a history with great moments, the EBA League is transformed into Tercera FEB, bringing basketball to the entire national territory.

THE NUMBERS | 137 teams, which gives a number of almost 1,500 players and with the participation of 18 Autonomous Federations and almost a hundred cities. 63 games will be played each day and more than 1,650 during the season. Basketball all over the country.

THE DATES | The Tercera FEB will get underway this Saturday, October 12, extending its first round until January 19 and taking its Regular League until April 20. From that moment on, the path to the six promotion places in a League will begin, which will hold its final phase between May 22 and 25, 2025. The six best teams of the season will be promoted to Second FEB.

THE STARS OF THE FUTURE | The youth teams of teams such as Real Madrid, Barça, Joventut, Valencia Basket, Movistar Estudiantes, Unicaja, Baskonia… are betting on the Tercera FEB for their most promising juniors. This season we will have to look at national players such as Ignacio Campoy, Max García Plata, Pablo Orenga, Raúl Villar, Guillermo del Pino, Nicolás Gómez, Eric del Castillo, Gildas Giménez, Nicolás Gómez…

AND PRESTIGIOUS NAMES | Regulars of the category, players with experience in higher competitions. The Tercera FEB is also a good place to enjoy the quality of names such as Alberto Corbacho, Eloy Almazán, Diego Guaita, Marcus Vinicius, Pol Bassa, Pablo Rodrigo, Placide Nakidjim, Kedar Nkosi, Borja Arévalo, Carlos Noguerol, Jorge Tejera , Carles Marzo, Kaj Sherman, Guille Colom….

CONFERENCE TO: THE NORTH, EQUAL AND WITH POTENTIAL | This is the Conference with the largest number of Autonomous Federations involved. Galicia dominates with nine teams, followed by the Basque Country with six, Castilla y León with five and Cantabria with four. There will also be two representatives from Asturias and one from Navarra and La Rioja. Last season, Fundación Bilbao Basket and Xoborg La Antigua Tormes were on the verge of promotion. Those from Salamanca, now with the support of Perfumerías Avenida, are one of the big favorites, with permission from LBC Cocinas.com. We will also have to take into account classics such as Ucoga Seguros Chantada, Oposita Marín Peixe Galego or Mondragon Unibersitatea, or the new project of the Hotel 4Postes Ávila Auténtica.

CONFERENCE B: EVERYONE AGAINST REAL MADRID | The central zone is dominated by the Community of Madrid, with thirteen teams; while the Canary Islands reach eight, and Castilla la Mancha maintains its good participation with seven. Real Madrid has been the dominator in recent years, with its junior team, although this season the 2007 generation will have a good handful of powerful rivals. In their group will be the recently relegated Fundación Globalcaja La Roda or the always competitive Uros de Rivas.M While the BA highlights the classic Lujisa Guadalajara, the ambitious Talavera Basket, the promising Sun Chlorella Dragons and the traditional rival of Madrid, Movistar Estudiantes .

LECTURE C: MANY ‘COCKS’ IN THE EAST | This season Catalonia will have 18 teams in the TerceraFEB, measuring its strength against the six Aragonese teams and the four Balearic teams. Still without very serious tests, the first contenders for promotion are Sandá Electroclima L’Hospitalet in Group CA and DM Group Mollet in CB. The first come from Second FEB with the national backbone of last year who is joined by two very physical signings such as Nakidjim and Koyanouba. The second team stayed close to promotion with a squad that is maintained, including the addition of Albert Real. At his side is Barça with a good generation of players who will be at the top of the table. Among the candidates are Tibu-Ron Castelldefels with the Mañes brothers, Valls Tallers by Marcus Vinicius or Mataró Parc Boet by Imanol Martínez. In Aragon, Alfindén CB’s step forward and the quality of Anagán El Olivar’s youngsters stands out, while in the Balearic Islands, Fibwi Ciutat d’Inca stands out, having incorporated a dominant player like Carlos Poyatos.

CONFERENCE D: NEW APPLICANTS WITH JAÉN AS AN ATTRACTION | The South will have 26 teams this year, 20 of them from Andalusia, to which are added five from Extremadura and one more from Melilla. The two teams from the city of Jaén were left without promotion last season and will once again have competitive squads. Jaén Paraíso Interior FS has signed names like Miracle Bamadu, Nahuel Peñoa and Roy Mendes, while Jaén Paraíso Interior CB incorporates an interesting piece like Luis Rodríguez. The other serious contender could be Huelva Comerico LR21, which comes from the top category and will have a very competitive squad with the signing of Daniel William. But we will have to take into account teams that want to take a step forward such as SKA Logistic Andújar of Dusan Juzbasic, Tu Super La Zubia of Eloy Almazán, Ática Coria of Joaquín Cebolla or Hospital Ochoa Marbella, which has just won the Malaga Provincial Council Cup. From Extremadura, David Sainsbury’s Vitaly La Mar Badajoz stands out while Melilla Ciudad del Deporte Enrique Soler will be named after the Autonomous City with Ana Mónica Rodríguez at the head of the coaching staff.

CONFERENCE E: LEVANTINE POWER IS RENEWED | Last season, Southeast was the big winner with the promotion of three teams in the Final Phases. In this there will be up to 27 teams, with 24 from the Valencian Community, which makes it the Federation with the most participants in Tercera FEB. The other three will be clubs from the Region of Murcia. Without Gandía, Lliria and Archena, the favorites for the Final Phase increase proportionally. NB Torrent will once again have a competitive squad, although the winner of the preseason has been Esportiu Basquet Vila-Real, winner of the Lliga Valenciana with David García as MVP. While in the EB Group, the CBI Elche X Maxiwatt by the promising Ian Granja, the Servigroup Benidorm by Kaj Sherman and the Rigalli Alginet by Miguel Martínez stand out.
