Hon Imran Usman Jibrin Chairman Association of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria (ABCIN) in conjunction with Rock City Badminton club has announced a Governor’s cup competition in Jos to Honor the Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Muftwang.
A statement signed by the Public Relations officer (PRO) and made available to this medium Said the Associations of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria, Audu Adamu Danasabe said the Badminton championship Governor’s competition is aimed to unite the club’s members and enhance the strength of the union.
According to the statement, Danasabe explained that Honorable Imran Usman Jibril has came on board with a vision to bring progressive ideas for the sport club.
He said the Imran was newly sworn in and hit the ground running with his laudable novelty programs to pilot well the activities of the union to the eyes of all Nigerians and the international communities.
Dansanda revealed that the competition in Jos will spur activities like active men double, active mixed men double and the game of veterans will take center Stage in Men double 35/45, Men double 46/55, Men doubles 56+.
According to him the competition which will Kickstart its activities on 30th October to 2nd November 2024 will have the women doubles and mixed doubles competition to play the game.
Danasabe in the statement said ABCIN Chairman has given an open invitation to all people irrespective of Social class and background to grace the occasion.
