Johan Derksen calls him “a blind horse” and Marco van Basten believes that Brian has limited technique as a striker for Ajax. Yet he earns enough money to invest heavily.
And he does that in things that you rarely see with football players. These almost always invest their money in apartments or villas. Not Brian, though. For example, he bought a pharmacy and a general practice in Breda.
He even owns two buildings in Breda that house a general practitioner’s practice. He bought a large office villa in Hoogvliet in Rotterdam and a very spacious retail space in Vlaardingen.
He bought the retail space for 915,000 euros at an asking price of 1,045,000 euros. So Brian negotiated well. The retail property is leased to Etos for 85,000 euros per year and the contract runs until April 2027.
The total area of the store is 442 square meters, divided into a basement and the retail space. All in all, he bought for almost 3.7 million euros and established 1 mortgage of around 450,000 euros.
One thing is certain: he certainly does not invest like a “blind horse”.
