CANCUN, Q. ROO. October 18.- Alejandro Sánchez, bullpen coach of the Quintana Roo Tigers, is ready to support the Mexican U-12 National Team in coaching, which will participate in the Pan American Championship of the same category, which will be held in Panama .

Alejandro Sánchez, better known as “Chuleta” or “Shaggy”, was born in Nogales, Sonora; However, he has lived for the last 25 years in Isla Mujeres where he has been working as a coach for children and youth categories, in addition to being a fundamental part of regional scouting for the Tigres, traveling through the municipalities of Quintana Roo in search of young talent. .

The one who was the Tigers’ bullpen coach since the 2021 campaign has been working with the youngsters within the facilities of the High Performance Center (CEDAR) in the country’s capital for a few weeks, during which time they waited until October 18 , date on which they traveled to Panama to participate in the under-12 Tournament organized by America’s Baseball, which belongs to the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC).

It should be noted that Mexico will be part of group “A” along with the United States, Panama, Colombia, Nicaragua and Ecuador, while group “B” will be made up of the teams of Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Argentina .

Mexico will first face Nicaragua on October 20, while its next games will be on the 21st against Panama, on the 22nd against the United States, on the 23rd against Ecuador and on the 24th against Colombia.
