Continuation of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, with an enticing poster on paper. Algeria welcomes Togo this Thursday in Annaba at the Stade du 19-May-1956, for the 3rd day. Well launched in this campaign, the Fennecs will try to sign a third victory in a row after their successes against Equatorial Guinea (2-0) and Liberia (3-0) at the beginning of September.
Vladimir Petkovic’s players, who were eliminated in the group stage of the last edition of the CAN, would thus consolidate their position as leaders of group E. Riyad Mahrez, Amine Gouiri, Saïd Benrahma, Aissa Mandi, Ramy Bensebaini, Hicham Boudaoui or even Ramiz Zerrouki were summoned, but Youcef Belaïli and Farès Chaïbi were excluded. Ismaël Bennacer and Youcef Atal are injured.
On the Togolese side, after two initial draws against Liberia (1-1) and Equatorial Guinea (2-2), the Sparrowhawks hope to get the ball rolling in these qualifiers which leave little room for missteps. As a reminder, only the first two will qualify for the competition which will be held in Morocco, from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
The Algeria-Togo kick-off is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at 9 p.m. The match will be followed live on BeIN Sports 1.
