3D WORLD ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIPS – The French team had a superb day in Mokrice, Slovenia. The Blues obtained two medals, including a gold, won by David Jackson and Alicia Baumert in mixed team barebow.

From September 30 until October 6, world archery championships fieldor 3D archery, take place in Slovenia, in Wets. For the occasion, the French team had solid hopes of medals. This came to fruition this Saturday during the day reserved for the team finals.

Expected to play the final victory, Alicia Baumert et David Jackson did not tremble when it came to maintaining their reputation. The duo had a faultless run before reaching the final. Opposed toSpainthey trembled until the last moment, but took advantage of a last missed Iberian arrow to snatch victory by a short head, 146-142. France therefore won the gold medal. Along the way, Alicia Baumert obtained her first world title while David Jackson strengthened his status as the French GOAT in the specialty by adding a fourth title to his list of achievements, two years after his individual victory.


In prime, Élodie Baret et Joan Pauner participated in the party. In the mixed doubles event, the French duo arrived in the last four, before having the doors closed to the final. This did not prevent them from remobilizing to achieve a superb victory in the match for 3rd place against Austria. Enough to win a nice bronze medal! The only negative note of this day, the female quartet, composed of Baumert, Baret, Kristell Chailland et Daniele Ramosfor his part finished at the foot of the podium.

This Sunday, a third medal is guaranteed since Joan Pauner will face Swede Mikael Anderle in the compound final. Alicia Baumert et Rémy Albanese will also have the opportunity to win bronze. The last day in Slovenia is therefore busy for the Blues!
