Los Angeles (dpa) – <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/american-football-chiefs-bezwingen-steelers-in-den-nfl-playoffs-sport/" title="American Football – Chiefs bezwingen Steelers in den NFL-Playoffs – Sport”>Equanimeous St. Brown does not see his NFL career in danger despite recent frustrating months and hardly any game participation. “I’m not done yet, I still have a few years ahead of me,” said St. Brown to the German Press Agency. As a professional for the New Orleans Saints, the older brother of Detroit Lions player Amon-Ra St. Brown has played almost no role so far this season.
Instead of regaining momentum after two mixed years with the Chicago Bears in New Orleans, a thigh injury slowed him down so much in preparation for the season that he missed making the 53-man squad and was released. The Saints signed him to the training squad shortly afterwards and can bring him up, as they did last Sunday in the 8:24 loss against the Chargers – but the situation is not satisfactory, admits St. Brown.
“I am unhappy with being in the training squad. It’s been like this for eight weeks. But I just have to do my best,” he said. “I am mentally strong. It was difficult on the first day. But after that, I kept my head up and worked.”
