The new iPad mini 7 was just a warm-up program, because the highlight for October is still to come at Apple. We’re getting new Macs with M4 chips and, according to Mark Gurman, these are now also appearing in Apple’s inventory.
There won’t be a big Apple event like there was for the iPhone, but probably something like the one on Halloween last year with the M3 lineup. Apple could record a few videos beforehand and show the products to selected media on site.
Incidentally, Apple has placed a lot of focus on influencers in recent years and Mark Gurman also notes this today. You probably know this too, a very well-known example in Germany is Kai Pflaume, who even flies to the events.
The advantage is a large reach and you have to supply less critical media with devices that list advantages and disadvantages. For the 10th anniversary of Apple Pay, there is also a shopping trip with a baseball game.
The new products include a new MacBook Pro, a new iMac and an all-new Mac mini, all with an M4 chip. But there are also signs of a new Magic Mouse and a new Magic Trackpad. However, it is unclear whether we will get new input devices or whether there will only be USB C as a connection.
After all these years, I would find it exciting again if the mouse, trackpad and keyboard were redesigned. In any case, Apple hasn’t checked off October, there’s more to come, maybe they’ll get in touch this week.
