This three-part documentary series offers unique behind-the-scenes insights into one of the biggest sporting events in the United States.

World Series 2024: An exclusive look behind the scenes

The upcoming MLB documentary on Apple TV+ will provide an in-depth look at the dramatic and emotional moments of the 2024 World Series. The documentary not only shows the thrilling games themselves, but also the challenges and successes of the teams on their way to the World Series championship. With exclusive access to interviews and behind-the-scenes reports – from players to coaches to journalists and family members – the series takes viewers on an exciting journey through the baseball world.

Apple TV+ and MLB: A strong partnership

Apple TV+ has increasingly focused on expanding its sports content in recent years. Cooperation with the MLB is a central pillar. Apple recently completed its third season of “Friday Night Baseball,” which streamed exclusive doubleheader games on the platform every Friday evening. Fans in over 60 countries can enjoy these games without local broadcast restrictions.

The new World Series documentary is produced in collaboration with MLB and the renowned Imagine Documentaries, who have been involved in other successful Apple TV+ projects such as “The Dynasty: New England Patriots”. Five-time World Series champion Derek Jeter is also involved in the series as an executive producer with his production company Cap 2 Productions.

Production and publication

The series will be directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker RJ Cutler, known for his work on documentaries such as “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.” Executive producers include Derek Jeter, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Nick Trotta. The exact start date of the documentary has not yet been announced, but production is currently in full swing.

With the new MLB documentary on the 2024 World Series, Apple TV+ offers its subscribers another exciting sports experience. This series should be of interest not only to baseball fans, but also to sports enthusiasts worldwide and shows once again how Apple TV+ is strengthening its position in the sports broadcasting sector.
