On the 600th anniversary of the death of Muzio Attendolo Sforza, Sunday 25 August a <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/08/excellent-results-for-the-byzantine-archers-at-the-60th-italian-championship-plate-2022/” title=”excellent results for the Byzantine archers at the 60th Italian championship plate 2022″>Cotignola there will be the first «Torre d’Acuto» trophy, which will take place at archers’ shooting range «Muzio Attendolo Sforza» in via Sinistra Senio.
In Cotignola 80 archers from all over the region
Starting from 2.30pm they will compete about 80 archers coming from all over the region and surrounding areas. They will compete over the distance of 25 meters and they will have to hit a target of diameter of 60 centimetres; they will be able to use recurve bows with sights, so-called naked bows (i.e. without sights) and compound bows, i.e. with sights and pulleys. The rankings male and female they will be drawn up keeping distinct the type of bow and the age of the archer. At around 6pm there will be awards at the end of the event. «For a few years now the National Federation has introduced the possibility of practicing this type of competition outdoors too – he says Elisa Ballardinipresident of the Muzio Attendolo Sforza company -, and on this occasion we want to offer the opportunity to measure their skills even to less experienced archers, shooting at an easier distance compared to the 70 meters seen recently at the Paris Olympics”.
