The Archers of the Oak Forest are always on shields. The first two weekends of October saw them involved in four races in Nuvolera (Bs), Pognano (Bg), Desenzano del Garda (Bs) and Canegrate (Mi). As far as adults are concerned, the results were truly very satisfactory. In the Olympic arch category Paolo Nozza won a silver and a bronze medal, Daniela Maggioni a bronze and a seventh place, Massimo Prandi a seventh. In the compound category Valerio Ravasi climbs to the second step of the podium twice. In the bare bow category there were two gold medals for Eric Esposito, a silver for Paolo Nozza, a bronze and a fourth place for Elena Nicosia. The youth team returns to the 18 meter shooting line in Canegrate.
The young Olympic athletes are excited and have to get back into the rhythm of indoors, but they still achieve good placings. In the girls’ boys class, bronze medal for Alyssa Bai and fifth place for Vittoria Ciancimino; in the men’s boys silver medal for Mattia Innocente and seventh place for Riccardo Pontiggia. In the students, tenth place for Andrea Pozzi and in the juniors, fifth place for Beatrice Bocca. Closing out is the only naked bow representative, the very young Alessio Conti, who climbs to the top step of the podium. In the last weekend of October both the adults of all bow categories and the youth team will compete. The sports association, ASD Arcieri Bosco delle Querce, was born in Seveso in 2017 by a small group of enthusiasts and slowly expands, gaining members in different areas of Lombardy.
