Archery, the season of the Byzantine Archers starts well

After the satisfactory summer successes, the indoor season of the Ravenna Byzantine Archers began in early October. In this last weekend of October the people of Ravenna put themselves to the test on the competition field of the Castenaso Archery Team, in the “Indoor City of Castenaso” which was held from 25 to 27 October. 10 archers competing who achieved 6 individual and 2 team podiums. Excellent results for the AN where the people from Ravenna conquered most of the podiums obtained during the day. Double podium for the senior category with gold for Michele Baroncini with 512 points (256+256) and bronze for Denis Costantini with 451 (200+251). Double also for the masters who won the silver medal with Simone Pizzi, 515 (266+249) points and the bronze with Marcello Tozzola and 513 (251+262) points. Massimo Venturi’s 5th place with a score of 498 (241+257) was enough to win the gold medal for the AN MM team, Pizzi-Tozzola-Venturi, with a score of 1526. In the women’s field, Sabrina Bandini wins the bronze medal with 460 points (231+229) in the MF category. 4th Angela Padovani with 458 (227+231) and 7th Donatella Domini with 445 (230+215) for the SF category. The last individual medal comes from Marcello Tozzola who, with 570 (290+280), wins the gold medal in the OL MM category. In the same category also Simone Pizzi, 10th with 511 (247+264) points and Giancarlo Casadio 19th with 363 (192+171) points. The team composed of Tozzola-Pizzi-Casadio ranks 4th with 1444 points in the OL MM category. Placement also for Riccardo Venturi who competed in a category higher than his, finishing 13th at 542 (261+281) CO SM.

The results obtained in the first competition of the season in Castel San Pietro Terme (BO) were also excellent, the “1st Indoor Graffiti” on 6 October, with 8 individual medals and one team medal. Gold for Sofia Fuschini with 525 (262+263) in the OL SF; double for the OL RM podium with Nicola Barlotti’s gold, 468 (222+246) points, and Diego Dalla Costa’s bronze with 379 (182+197) points. More gold for Riccardo Venturi in the men’s junior CO with 556 (280+276) points. Gold medal for Simone Pizzi in the AN SM with 505 (250+255) and silver for Massimo Venturi with 490 (247+243). Alessandro Ruma 4th with 350 (182+168). The team composed of Pizzi-Venturi-Ruma wins the gold medal with 1345 AN SM. For the AN MM category, gold for Marcello Tozzola with 511 (257+254) and gold for Angela Padovani with 479 (240+239) for the AN MF category. 4th Sabrina Bandini with 436 (227+209).
