Diallo defeated the Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, second seed, after coming from behind, with scores of 3-6, 6-3 and 6-4.
Everything was working perfectly for the South American until he gave up his serve in the sixth game of the second set and there the course of the match completely changed.
For Cerúndolo it will be his eleventh semifinal on the ATP circuit and the third this year after Rio and the Umag tournament (Croatia), his only title of the campaign, while for the Canadian it will be his first semi as a professional.
