Arsenal won again a key final against Patronato in Sarandí. It was 2 to 0 at home for Chaucha Bianco, who are breathing in permanence and are awaiting results.
Zero to zero match. With best intentions Arsenal. A lucid Lautaro Guzmán took control of the ball with his dribble on the right side of the court.
At 10 Amaya almost nailed it in the corner with a free kick. The Patronato goalkeeper saved.
At 15 the Patronato had the first clear shot with a long-distance shot.
At 21 Sabatini had two chances. The first attempted the pass and Serrano failed to push her. The second one just entered the area but did not hit it hard.
The first half was going to end in a tie at zero. Arsenal went to the locker room with the feeling that the only thing missing was the goal.
In the second half the tone was the same. At 3′ a great play by Rios, who kicks towards the goal and the ball grazes the left post of Julio Salvá’s goalkeeper.
At 18′ another clear one from Patronato. Walter Rueda burst the crossbar with a shot from inside the area.
However, at 24′ a great play by the incoming Matías Lucero leaves a decisive pass in the small area, so that Sabatini defines in front of the goal as 9.
With the game 1-0 at 28′ the response was immediate. Denning kicked it down and Masuero excelled with a save. It wasn’t going to be the only thing, because at 40′ the 1st of the Viaducto saved a one-on-one from Coronel, who lost an unbeatable opportunity to equalize.
The answer to that was given for the Pink and Blue dresses. At 41′ Nacho Sabatini tried again inside the area and Salvá slapped him into the corner.
From that corner kick, Arsenal’s second was going to arrive at 42′. After playing short, Matías Lucero was only going to receive the match’s light from the left sector, to define with a volley to the left post of Salvá, who could do nothing.
It was final in Sarandí. Arsenal beat Patronato 2-0 and added 37 points and equaled the team from Entre Ríos. Now he must wait for the results of the Talleres and Brown de Pto Madryn matches.
