At sports school… and for everyone

The new point of reference for young people between 14 and 34 takes hold in the historic center of Rovigo: New Space in the Center. A dynamic and engaging initiative of the Duomo Parish Club, promoted by the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in collaboration with Sport and Health, which aims to offer a wide range of activities, from sport to culture, passing through the social.

“We open this space to everyone, like a big family,” explains Marcello Trevisan, manager of the Circolo and GS Duomo. And the spirit of inclusion and sharing is precisely what animates this project. For 18 months, the premises of the Circolo Duomo in via Ciro Menotti 8-10 will be animated by a busy calendar of weekly meetings. Thanks to the collaboration with numerous local associations such as Gs Duomo Calcio, Tennistavolo Rovigo, Bsc Baseball, Judo Duomo, Ju Jitsu, Kirikù, Promusic, Legambiente Rovigo, Associazione Amici del Cuore and Cooperativa Zico, young people will have the opportunity to participate in musical workshops , artistic, theatrical, cinematographic and sporting.

Nuovo Spazio aims to convey to young people the fundamental values ​​of sport, such as team spirit, perseverance and respect, to help them face contemporary challenges. Through sport and creative activities, the project aims to encourage the development of active and aware citizens, able to express themselves and actively participate in community life. Furthermore, it is committed to creating a network of sports associations that work together to offer young people opportunities for growth and inclusion, preventing risk situations and promoting their involvement in decision-making processes.

The calendar is organized as follows and includes the first 5 free lessons: Monday: regenerative gymnastics from 5pm and cross fut (national innovation 2024) from 6pm with instructor Dayane Rocha, Olympic champion Athens 2004; Tuesday table tennis from 5pm, Wednesday baseball from 4pm, Thursday judo from 7pm and Friday football from 7.30pm.

In addition to sport, singing, ukulele and information meetings with local groups are planned. The next event will take place on Saturday 26 October from 6pm with Legambiente Rovigo. A scientific aperitif called “What’s the air?” dedicated to an increasingly current and worrying topic: air quality and air pollution.
