At the Casa del Popolo in Asti Edoardo Angelino presents the political fantasy novel “RDI. The wall of Florence”

On Friday 18 October at 6pm, the latest novel by Edoardo Angelino will be presented at the Casa del Popolo, for decades a professor of history and philosophy at the Vercelli Scientific High School, today head of the Geopolitics course at Utea and recently member of the Board of Directors of the Asti foundation Museums.

“RDI. The Wall of Florence”, is a novel in the vein of political fiction, a genre that describes a hypothetical political scenario, set in an Italy divided, after the end of the Second World War, into a communist North and a monarchist South.

“History is not made with ifs and buts, it’s true, but sometimes it’s nice and interesting to reflect on the steps that led to this system and how it could have gone differently, for better or for worse. A concept that is very close to my heart is choice: we do not decide where and when to be born, but once we are inside a political system we are continually called to choose whether and to what extent we conform and accept it. The great history of the human race is tragically intertwined with the small history, the individual one, and vice versa” says Angelino.

The presentation will take place in dialogue with Mauro Bosia.

From 8.00pm, autumn dinner for €20 upon reservation at 3473483221. Entrance reserved for ARCI members.
