A few days after the announcement of his retirement, which will take place on the occasion of the 2025 edition of Roland‐Garros, Richard Gasquet answered questions from our Argentinian colleagues from Clay Tennis.
And after discussing his best memories with some of his compatriots including Jo‐Wilfried Tsonga and Gaël Monfils, the Biterrois revealed who he would choose to celebrate.
“I’ve known Jo since we were kids and we’ve won everything. We won the European Cup together, the U14 World Cup. We did everything. We went on vacation together, we always shared dinners in good restaurants in different cities. Same for Gael. These are real friendships, not just tennis friendships. Who is the best at partying? Jo, Jo, definitely Jo. Tsonga is by far the best for parties. We always have fun when we go out with him. »
