ATP > Jordan Thompson: “I still have to pinch myself when I think I beat Nadal. I know he was coming back from injury, but beating Rafa is a victory I will remember for the rest of my life”

Oddly scheduled in the last rotation this Tuesday evening on the Accor Arena center against Casper Ruud in the second round of the Paris‐Bercy Masters 1000, Jordan Thompson recently spoke on the Australian Open website about of its very good 2024 season.

And the Australian obviously mentioned his victory against Rafael Nadal in January during the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 in Brisbane.

“Of course, Brisbane was the most special moment, at the start of the year. I had the opportunity to face one of my idols, Rafael Nadal, in an important round like the quarter-finals and at home, on a Friday night in Brisbane and with the crowd in front of me. I know he was coming back from injury, but beating Rafa is a victory I will remember for the rest of my life. I still have to pinch myself someday when I think about how lucky I am. »
