Austrian shock is getting on Leverkusen’s nerves

Stade Brestois 29 fought Bayer Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw on matchday three of the Champions League.

Despite a completely rotated starting eleven, Leverkusen won the game and deservedly took the lead: Wirtz gave Brest goalkeeper Bizot no chance after a pass from Hofmann and made it 1-0 in the 24th minute.

The “Pirates” from Brittany hit back before the break, Lees-Melou sank a spectacular volley into the Werkself goal – 1-1 after 39 minutes.

With the equalizer, Leverkusen seems shocked and their performance drops. Mistakes keep creeping in and the German champions are completely out of control until the end. A last-minute goal won’t work either; Leverkusen has to return home with a draw.

Celtic hold out against Atalanta

“La Dea” dominates Celtic at will in the home game, the “Bhoys” from Glasgow are constantly busy with defensive work. However, Celtic does that very well: The Scots, for whom former Rapid player Nicolas Kühn plays for 81 minutes, keep their box tight and hold off Atalanta to a goalless draw with 19:4 shots.
