Six civilians killed in confrontation
Culiacán, Sin.- An armed confrontation between civilians and military forces left six men dead in the vicinity of the town of El Guasimal, near Tepuche. Residents indicated that the shooting lasted about an hour.
The events occurred during the first hours of this Thursday and mobilized the elements of the Secretariat of Public Security of Sinaloa, whose authority confirmed the number of deaths and detailed that during the confrontation elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) They secured a significant arsenal.
So far the authorities have not been able to identify the victims involved in this violent episode, which occurred north of the urban area of Culiacán. Investigations continue to clarify the details of the event and determine the circumstances that led to this confrontation.
Competent authorities were in charge of reaching the scene and carrying out the investigations corresponding to what happened and which now has the inhabitants in fear, who assured that the shooting lasted several minutes and federal and state authorities participated.
It is worth mentioning that the armed men were traveling in a private white Volkswagen Jetta vehicle, in which they allegedly carried an arsenal of weapons, which were confiscated by the authorities to make them available to the competent authority.
