It was a Sunday to rebel, at the bottom of the standings, and it was ultimately the Auxerres who pulled off an excellent operation. By logically winning against Reims at Abbé-Deschamps (2-1), Christophe Pelissier’s players built up a small cushion of three points ahead of the red zone.
Nantes-Nice: 1-1
In the soft underbelly of the ranking, Nantes and Nice neutralized each other. The Azuréens struggled for a long time against a great Alban Lafont, before being surprised by a goal from Mathis Abline (67th). They found the resources to equalize thanks to a nice achievement from Evann Guessand (72nd) but could not do better despite their domination.
Franck Haise and his players had the opportunity to return to European places if successful. They have not won for five matches, in all competitions. The observation is the same for the Canaries, whose last victory in L1 dates back to the end of August (3-1 in Montpellier).
