A golden first for Aveyron native Jean-Jacques Espinasse. Saturday evening, the Élan Aveyron educator attended his first general assembly of the French basketball federation, in Paris, and not for any reason: he received the gold medal from the instance from the hands of Jean-Pierre Siutat (on the left in the photo)outgoing president of the FFBB, after 14 years of service. An award that honors more than 40 years of volunteering in the service of Aveyron basketball. “An honor to be awarded this distinction, with an immediate thought to my loved ones (parents) for having transmitted the associative virus to me and (my wife and children) for their continued support”reacted Jean-Jacques Espinasse.
