After transporting the tatami mats from the judo room to the performance hall, Fatéma Muller, the president of the judo club, and Christophe, the judo teacher, received the little judokas from the surrounding clubs (Pessan, Auch and Barran). “Baby judo” brings together children aged 5-6 (kindergarten GS and CP). As they cannot yet participate in competitions, the different clubs organize meetings where activities, exercises and games are offered which introduce them to the first rudiments of judo. This is how they will crawl, fall while rolling, get on the ground with a friend, etc., under the careful control of the 4 teachers. The atmosphere was dynamic and joyful.
The session then gave way to a moment of discussion and conviviality around a small snack prepared by the parents. The Pavie Judo Club has around thirty members. It welcomes children from 5 years old and there is still time to register. Training takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays: at 5:30 p.m. for babies; at 6:15 p.m. for children aged 7 and over; at 7:15 p.m. for teenagers and adults.
