A return after five years of absence on which he spoke at length and which would not have left his wife indifferent.

Drafted as the 16th pick, at the time he could dream of a long, dreamed trajectory in the ranks of the NBA. Ultimately, the career of Guerschon Yabusele turned out to be much more eventful than that. Unable to establish himself sustainably in the Celtics rotation, he only stayed there for two seasons before having to prove his worth away from the North American league.

First sent to China, the French interior subsequently returned to France, and more precisely to ASVEL, where it clearly restored its image. So much so that he continued his journey to Real Madrid, where he still played until last summer. The Paris Olympic Games, however, turned everything upside down and allowed him to get a new opportunity on the other side of the Atlantic, this time in Philadelphia.

Guerschon Yabusele honest about returning to the US

Following his first preseason match played with the 76ersa few days ago, Yabusele returned at a press conference to his atypical career, which according to him only made his recent comeback more delicious:

Guerschon Yabusele : I’m not going to lie, it was awesome. (…) It’s been a long road, but I’m delighted to be here.

Supposedly canvassed by other great franchisesthe international tricolor however decided to settle down in Pennsylvania, and does not seem to regret it so far:

Guerschon Yabusele : My family members love the city and enjoy it. After everything that happened this summer, they are enjoying their time and being here.

His wife, met not far from there during his time with the Celtics, is said to be very satisfied with this career choice:

Guerschon Yabusele : My wife and I met in Boston, so she obviously knows a lot about the NBA. But she told me how much she missed being able to watch the matches. I think everyone is happy to be here and is happy for me. I really think we’ve found a great home here in Philadelphia.

Suffice to say that this new adventure at the Sixers could not have started better for the Yabusele family on a personal level. Let’s now hope that this will be reflected on the NBA floors once the season begins.

After five years away from the United States, Guerschon Yabusele is delighted to have found service there. His move to Philadelphia would even go well with relatives who are clearly already returning to their habits across the Atlantic.
