The two Nivernais clubs involved, Sunday October 6, in the regional championships, experienced varying fortunes for the first day.

Regional 1: full success for Guérigny

First day: Quetigny-Stade Auxerre, 6-2; Guérigny-Urzy/USC Dijon, 7-1; BC Dijon/Chalon-sur-Saône, 4-4. Second day: Chalon-sur-Saône/Stade Auxerre, 5-3; Quetigny-USC Dijon, 8-0; Guérigny-Urzy/BC Dijon, 6-2.

Next day : Sunday November 17 in Auxerre (R1) and Chalon-sur-Saône (R2)

Regional 2: difficult start for Nevers

First day: Nevers-Sens, 2-6; Quetigny/Fontaine, 6-2; Chalon-sur-Saône/Noyers-Ancy-le-Franc, 5-3. Second day: Noyers-Ancy-le-Franc/Sens, 5-3; Nevers/Fontaine, 1-7; Quetigny/Chalon-sur-Saône, 4-4.

Sébastien Babielle (president-captain) : “The first meeting was very close. With a little more success, we could have snatched a draw. In the second, Fontaine was above us. Despite the scores, the matches were close and we have no regrets.”
