HEEZE – The first team of Badminton Heeze continues to perform excellently. The match against Mierlo 5 was won 6-2.
Ruben and Diana started the evening with their mix and won it in two sets. Yvonne and Maarten won their match in three sets. Diana then started in her singles match. Lost the first set 12-21 but then managed to take control of the match and took the other two sets 21-12 and 21-16. The men’s doubles of Maarten and Dirk went very evenly, they narrowly lost the match.
The ladies Yvonne and Diana won their doubles. Dirk started in his singles and made it an exciting three-setter, but he lost the last set 18-21. Ruben managed to win in his singles: 21-13, 16-21 and finally 25-23. Yvonne started her singles last and won it easily in two sets. Final score 6-2 for Heeze-1.
Second loses
Team Heeze 2 did not win, they lost 3-5 to Someren 4. Sabine and Jacco started the first match by losing in three sets. After 21-14 and 10-21, it became even more exciting with 17-21. Andy and Linda got off to a slow start, but just couldn’t win the second set at 22-24. In the Men’s Doubles, Andy and Ralph were not convincing and the pot was lost.
The ladies played much better and won their match with three sets: 21-16/20-22/21-11. The ladies from Heeze were also better than those from Someren in the singles and Linda and Chantal both managed to win their competition. Linda made it exciting by losing the first set 20-22 and then easily winning 21-10/21-10. Jacco lost his girth without a chance. In the first set the score was tied at 17-17, but then the points went to Someren; 17-21/8-21. Ralph also did not have the power to beat his opponent and the score became 6-21/15-21. Final score 3-5 for Someren-4.
