A controversy has arisen over the land allotted to badminton player PV Sindhu in Visakhapatnam. The previous government had allocated land for PV Sindhu’s Badminton Academy and Sports School in the Thotaguru area of Visakhapatnam district. However, local residents are now expressing concerns about the location, as they have long requested the government to build a junior college there instead.
The locals have staged protests, insisting that the site should be used for a junior college rather than the sports academy. They have repeatedly asked the government to allocate land for a college, and they remain firm in their demand. It will be interesting to see how the currently ruling coalition government and PV Sindhu respond to this situation.
