This Monday, October 21, theAmiens UC Badminton organized its friendly Pink October tournament for the benefit of the Gustave Roussy center.
There were more than 80 participants, most of them dressed in pink, who gathered for a good cause at the Halle des Quatre Chênes this Monday evening. In a friendly atmosphere and in teams of three, members and non-members of all ages mixed for an evening under the sign of Pink October. For the occasion, the club organized a friendly tournament with different themes and constraints proposed on the grounds, allowing to add a little grain of madness to the oppositions.
After a 2023 edition for the benefit of the League Against Cancer of the Somme, the Amiens club decided this year to support the Gustave Roussy centerthe first cancer center in Europe which provides care, research and teaching. The event was an opportunity to welcome Florian Gagneux, clinical research associate, who came to present the institute to the participants, but also to raise awareness.
This charity tournament bore fruit since it raised €419 in donations for the benefit of the Parisian organization. A great harvest and a great commitment from the participants, which should lead the AUC Badminton to repeat the operation.
