Our Galatasaray Men’s Basketball Team faced Bahçeşehir College in the 3rd week of the Turkish Insurance Super League. Our team won the match played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall 86-80 and got its first victory of the season.
In the match we started with Otis Livingston, William Cummings, Göksenin Köksal, Roberts Blumbergs and Angel Delgado, 6 of our basketball players scored double-digit points. Angel Delgado was our standout player with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. James Palmer Jr. followed him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. followed. Cummings contributed to the victory with 13 points, Livingston with 12 points, Blumbergs with 11 points and Sadık Kabaca with 10 points.
Our team, which fell behind 20-18 after a close game in the first quarter, closed the second period ahead 21-17 and went to the locker room with a 39-37 advantage. Delgado, Otis, Cummings and Sadık Kabaca were the top scorers of the first half with 7 points each. As the tempo increased even more in the third period, the team was ahead 65-63 at the end of the quarter, which ended 26-26. Our team, which maintained its game discipline in the last quarter with intense physical struggle, won this away match 86-80.
