A great weekend of sport and entertainment took place at the Calzolari Technical Center with the third edition of the White & Blue Tournament.
Il Umberto Calzolari Technical Center of Bologna hosted the third edition of Torneo White & Bluethe great youth baseball event organized by Fortitudo Baseball, which took place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October and involved eight Under 12 teams coming from different Italian realities, including theAlbsole Cubs Baseball Club who played an extraordinary tournament.
The Cubs started the Bologna tournament well, beating Fortitudo Baseball with a score of 10 to 6, then they faced the Lancers Baseball Club 1982 of Lastra a Signa in the Province of Florence, with the first day of the White & Blue Tournament ending with a nice victory of the Ponentini, dragged by an extraordinary Francesco Rescawho won 10 to 1. Finally in the semi-final they also overcame the fortissimo Poviglio Baseball of Reggio Emilia with the score of 5 to 4 led by the pitchers Ferrari and Resca, at the end of an exciting match, earning the finalimpossible to predict at the start of the tournament, against the Parma selection. The final saw the Parma players prevail 12 to 7, a second place which however fully satisfies the Albisole Cubs, who also saw the tournament Guglielmo Ferrari awarded as best pitcher of the event.
