Tijuana, Baja California. – The archers came out with their sights firmly set on the targets during the 2024 Binational Tournament, in celebration of “Hispanic Day,” which took place this Saturday at the archery field of the Tijuana High Performance Center.
A sports festival characterized this day, taking advantage of the stay of the Colombian youth team in Tijuana to face the medalists of the CONADE 2024 Nationals from Baja California. The match was very competitive and had a high technical level on the part of both teams.
Approximately 70 archers participated in this binational tournament, which turned out to be a valuable competition test to measure strength against opponents with different work styles. Each coach will be able to draw their own conclusions to improve the performance of these high-level athletes.
A total of 72 arrows were shot, divided into two series of 36, with distances of 50, 60 and 70 meters, in the compound and recurve bow types, in both the women’s and men’s branches.
It was an excellent opportunity for those selected to share experiences, learn and coexist in a first-class environment, beyond the final score obtained on the shooting range.
At the end of the competition, all the targets were collected and the points were added up to determine the best averages. The first places received recognition from the INDE coach in Baja California, Luis Alfaro.
