New testimonies at the trial for the brutal beating of a 31-year-old, which took place on the lakeside of San Lorenzo Nuovo on the night of July 1st two years ago. A 20-year-old from Montefiascone is accused of beating him and biting off his ear.
The testimony of a friend of the beating victim
“It was late at night and I was at the bar, 20 meters from the scene of the beating, which occurred in the parking lot of a nightclub – said a 22-year-old -. I don’t know what caused the argument but from afar I saw a melee and about 7 people kicking and punching a friend of mine. Some had baseball caps on their heads.”

The witness: “I saw the accused put his mouth close to the face of the 31-year-old who was attacked
“I know the accused by sight – he continued – and I noticed that he had approached the boy’s ear with his mouth. When I realized what was happening I approached and stood in the way to defend my friend who was on the ground bleeding, screaming and holding his left ear with one hand. These people pulled me and tore my shirt. Immediately afterwards the ambulance arrived and then the police.” The witness recognized the accused among the images included in a photographic file that was shown to him in the courtroom.
