Beauharnois closes its dog park while awaiting relocation

Incivility compromising security

Beauharnois announces the closure of the dog park located at Bissonnette Park, behind the arena and adjacent to the baseball fields, since Thursday, October 17. This decision was taken due to repeated incivility observed on the site, thus compromising the safety and well-being of the animals, their owners and residents of the area.

Despite the efforts of the municipal administration to make users aware of the importance of respecting the premises, the City has noted an increase in inappropriate behavior, such as non-compliance with hygiene and safety rules. In order to guarantee a pleasant environment for everyone, the municipal council deemed it necessary to close the dog park at this location.

The City is committed to finding another more appropriate location for the establishment of a possible dog park on its territory, all with the aim of identifying sustainable solutions and allowing dog owners to frequent safe and secure spaces. pleasant for dog activities.

Beauharnois thanks residents for their understanding and cooperation. Additional information on the reopening of a new park and new initiatives will be communicated eventually.
