For a very short time, the start of the 31st round of the Brasileirão was not perfect for Flamengo. After all, Mais Querido beat Juventude; Palmeiras, Fortaleza and São Paulo did not win; and the rival Fluminense follows close to the Z-4. The only match to be regretted by the red and black team is Botafogo’s triumph, in the 40th minute of the second half, against Bragantino. At Maracanã, Flamengo put pressure on Juventude from start to finish and won 4-2, goals from Michael, Gabigol, Arrascaeta and Gonzalo Plata. With the result, Mengão jumped to 54 points and reduced the difference between Palmeiras and Fortaleza, who faced each other in São Paulo.
With two penalty goals, scored by Raphael Veiga and Estêvão, Palmeiras came close to victory. However, Hércules and Moisés secured a point for Fortaleza. Therefore, Abel Ferreira’s team had 61 points, against 57 for the Northeastern team.
Another result celebrated by Flamengo with an eye on the league table is Criciúma’s draw against São Paulo. This is because the São Paulo team would be one point behind Mengão if they managed to win at the Heriberto Hulse Stadium. However, Felipe Vizeu, revealed in Mais Querido, opened the scoring for the Santa Catarina team, and Liziero equalized with a great goal.

Due to the second round of municipal elections this Sunday (27), the round will only take place on Monday (28), with two games. At Arena Pantanal, the desperate Corinthians faces Cuiabá, at 7pm (Brasília time). Vasco hosts Bahia, in São Januário, at 9pm (Brasília time).
