After a brazen theft, two fans in New York have to leave the stadium.

Two New York Yankees fans paid for a brazen theft by being thrown out of the Major League Baseball (MLB) final. Since the duo ripped the ball out of the glove of Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers after a successful catch in the fourth game of the <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/jon-lester-announced-his-retirement-from-baseball/” title=”Jon Lester announced his retirement from baseball”>World Series, both had to leave the stadium.

In the first inning, the baseball flew toward the stands after a hit by Gleyber Torres, and Betts caught it after a jump. A Yankees fan from the front row of the stands then held the professional’s glove with both hands and took out the ball, while a second spectator grabbed Betts’ other arm during the action. The catch was still valid.

In the end, the Yankees won 11-4 and reduced the best-of-seven series to 1-3. Betts was upset after the action, but quickly put the matter aside. “We lost. It’s irrelevant,” said the 32-year-old: “Everything is cool. We have to turn the tide and prepare for tomorrow.” Game five will take place at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday (local time).
